Front Squat - Improvement Continues

warmup - shoulder dislocates, OHS w/ stick, OHS w/ empty bar

FSQ:

bar x 2, 95 x 2, 135 x 2

160 x 5, 3 - was short on time, not much rest between sets, but otherwise felt good.  Video:

No time for more today, but 160 x 5 is excellent - my PR was 165 x 1 a few months ago, and now I might hit 165 x 5 in a few days - cool!

  1. Nice work on those squats! I think the last video I saw was when you were doing 145, maybe? You posted it on the DD forum, and there was some discussion about a weak point in your knees. I think on this much heavier set you look significanutly stronger. And it is a lot more weight! Excellent work.

    I've never commented here, but I come often. I always enjoy seeing what you are up to and reading your posts on DD (my handle there is booksbikesbeer, by the way).

    Keep getting strong, I look forward to seeing that 165x6.

  2. Thanks for the kind words. I've been doing what Marty recommends, straight linear periodization, and so far it's working out great.
